Could this be the grubbiest MP expenses claim yet?

Cook – he’s a tight cunt

From Day 24 of the Telegraph’s MPs’ expenses revelations:

The most extraordinary claim was made by Mr Cook, who tried to claim for £5 he donated during a Battle of Britain memorial service.

A handwritten note attached to the claim by way of a receipt stated: “Battle of Britain church service, Sunday 17.09.06. £5 contribution to offertory on behalf of Frank Cook MP.”

The fees office wrote on his claim “Not Allowed” and refused to pay out on the claim. Markings on the note indicate the Commons authorities had been planning to blank out the word “offertory” before they were to be made public in the summer, meaning the precise nature of the claim would have remained hidden from the public if it had not been disclosed by the Telegraph.

It is particularly embarrassing because Mr Cook is an official supporter of the campaign to commemorate Air Chief Marshal Sir Keith Park, who commanded the RAF’s 11 Group Fighter Command during the Battle of Britain.

Could Frank Cook be the tightest cunt in the history of Parliament?

  1. I found this to be amazing to be honest, I mean, how fucking tight do you want to be!

And how exactly did he get the receipt?

  2. i just saw him being interviewed for over 5 mins on newsnight [17th dec 2009]
his language, attitude and arguments -prove he is the perfect example of an mp who “hasn’t got it”
hes refusing to repay the £600 he claimed for a new fridge -unless he is given a copy of the rules -that state retrospectively he wasnt entitled to make the money claim.
he blames the media for stoking up the public anger towards the mps over expenses claims.
he thinks parliament, the party leaders and expenses comittees are all largely to blame also for the trouble they have caused by their incompetence for poor little victim mps like him.
thus he obviously doesnt care what anyone thinks of him-he doesnt have any sympathy for the decent hard working, law abiding poor constituents and members of the public who hate the contemptuous attitude he and his kind have taken towards the good people who he is stealing from-tho he would argue that because he cant be forced to pay back and because he cant be prosecuted on any grounds -that he is above reproach and entitled to refuse to pay back as asked to by the standards committee recently established to oversee past bad behaviour.
he also likes to state and restate the extra money he claimed from us for his council tax [over £1000] was just a harmless little clerical error -so nothing to do with him-its a pity all the really poor ppl living on benefits who rightly get prosecuted daily for tiny sums-cant also claim they are victims also of simple little clerical errors.
this man is a disgrace -his attitude ,arrogance and language and vitriol is very unpleasant-he truly is a git and a perfect example of an mp who “hasnt yet got it”
