What is so frustrating about these fools is that they are the politicians and greedy bastards who don’t want a cut in their profits who use bogus science or the lowest scientists in the gene pool who will distort data for a few bucks. The vast majority of the scientific minds in the World agree and understand it’s a very serious problem that can do an untold amount of damage to life on Earth.

So when the right wing fucktards have caused it to be too late to fix the problem, and we start seeing the devastating consequences and we start seeing end of the World type events – how will we punish those responsible. It will be too late. So shouldn’t we start punishing them now?

Posted by some fucking headcase calling him/herself ‘The Insolent Braggart’, it brackets climate change sceptics within the political and commercial sphere as ‘legitimate’ targets for prison or even execution.

Targets for a brand of homegrown fanaticism that is as great a threat to human life and basic freedoms as any Islamist terrorist movement.

As is usual with extremists who see themselves as self-appointed defenders of our planet and its people there is no room for debate – simply a blind insistence that they are right and everyone else is wrong and thus it is justifiable to take draconian action.

As someone who is not a scientist or a ‘greedy bastard’ who doesn’t want a cut in my profits, I therefore duly assert my right to my own opinions that all lead me to believe that Anthropogenic Global Warming is a scam – a scam that will not only affect the quality of life for billions of people for the foreseeable future but is also a significant step towards controlling these people and removing their democratic rights and freedoms.

I also find it deeply insulting and disturbing that these fascist zealots – along with more ‘acceptable’ commentators such as the media and AGW supporters – are using the term ‘deniers’ in exactly the same way that we talk about ‘holocaust deniers’.

In the case of the Holocaust, very few people believe that there is any question that it did not happen but as for AGW, the jury is still out – even more so after the Hadley CRU leak.

I don’t think I’d find this quite so worrying if it had been a call for ‘direct action’. You always get small groups of whackjobs who want to harass and even murder people they see as ‘immoral’ or just ‘evil’ – abortion clinic staff, experimenters on animals and even bankers with large bonuses – but this is slightly different.

This post reveals a readiness to impose imprisonment and even capital punishment on those with whom they disagree, presumably through legitimate legal process.

As the AGW lobby already includes world governments then the machinery is already in place.

How long before the tactics of attitude and behaviour modification give way to more ‘active’ means of persuasion?

There’s all sorts of stuff on there of a satirical bent.

Aside from the main issues – such as the economy, unemployment, the war in Afghanistan and the environment – it looks as if one of the policies that the Tories will be standing on is the raising of the Inheritance Tax threshold from £325 000 to £2 000 000.

Labour, on the other hand, are promising a more modest rise to £700 000.

It’s interesting, if somewhat predictable, to see that two pieces of low rent bog paper august journalistic organs – the Mirror and the New Statesman – are attacking the Tory proposals as some sort of attempt to feather the nests of the members of a future Tory cabinet.

Of course, this has Labour supporters up in arms as the ‘Tory toffs’ look after their own, but if anyone with half a fucking brain cell looks at the Labour proposals, they’re pretty inadequate.

A fairly modest semi-detached house in Wembley, like the one above for example, sells for something in the region of £450 000. It’s not exactly Buckingham Palace and it may be how someone’s parents have decided to provide a family home and invest for the future. They could have bought it 25 years ago for £100 000 or so and, in common with many people, seen its value steadily rise over the years, before seeing a bit of a decline recently.

So, let’s say that the widowed father in this family dies and leaves his house and the rest of his estate to his two children.

It’s not impossible that he’s made some investments and accrued a nice little nest egg of £300 000 or so as well.

Under Labour plans his children would pay Inheritance Tax. Not much, but why should they pay any at all?

That house represents the efforts of someone to provide for their family through some sort of effort – work, investment, whatever – for which they have been taxed already.

Why should the government get any more?

Now that that person is dead after contributing to Society in taxes then why not just leave them the FUCK alone and allow their children to benefit?

The Tories’ £2 000 000 threshold is more sensible, but even then, I can see no moral justification for taxing the assets of a dead person.

It’s impossible to finish this post without this quote on the subject:

Al Jahom’s truly excellent post here started me thinking about gender eekwality and a pet peeve of mine.

My guess is that if you’re a man then the picture above might make you wince a little. It might make you clamp your thighs together too. If you’re really sensitive – perhaps you recently had a foot or something else hard like a baseball bat or a lump hammer interfaced with your nutsack – then you might even grab your man fruit, although I’d just advise you to be careful who you do this in front of as you may appear to them to be some sort of exhibitionist pervert – or a really shit Michael Jackson impersonator at best…

If you’re a woman looking at that picture then you might well chuckle. In my experience, many women seem to think that it’s amusing although I can assure you that getting hit in your meat and two veg is a painful experience. Of course, men will laugh too, but it’s in a rueful or nervous way more often than not.

I’ve engaged in extensive research – well, had a chat with Mrs Shark, truth be told – and I’m informed that although a blow to what we British call the ‘fanny’ area is painful, it’s not quite as bad as a bollock blow. In fact, a good whack on the breasts is apparently sometimes more debilitating.

Being a bloke I obviously have no direct experience of getting hit in the lady garden or norks but as a sentient being with pain receptors I know for a fucking fact that getting hit anywhere hard is painful, so I avoid hitting people and getting hit myself whenever possible – I’m that sort of soft new-age cunt I guess. I don’t have to have lady equipment to know that getting hit in it will hurt.

But why is ballsack twattage amusing to women?

There’s been a TV advert  that has actually shown scrotum/hard object collision. It’s a distant memory now, but if I recall correctly it involved a chap helping a lady out, getting hit in the balls and then her finding it amusing.

Certain types of slapstick humour can involve scrotal sac damage and can be relied on to raise a titter or two when shown on TV and in the cinema.

But why is male genitalia cloutage such a fertile (sic) topic for humour?

I don’t really understand it.

I like humour – Lewis Black, George Carlin and Bill Hicks are my comedy gods – but I just don’t find bawsack damage amusing at all.

Not in the slightest.

How about I bring you a fucking brain for Christmas?

Several people have brought this to my attention.

However, I think that to see this single event (amongst many, many other traditional events up there in Dundee) as some sort of denial of Christmas is jumping the gun to say the very fucking least.

A quick look at Dundee City Council’s web pages reveals that Christmas is alive and well in the city.

Indeed, the Council’s own description of the ‘Winter Light Night’ event reads as follows:

when a quick Google reveals that this is not the case.

OK…so I’m a bit of a geek in some things…

I’ve been looking at my blog stats and been gobsmacked by how many visitors I’ve had from Finland.

As this handy pie chart (mmm…pie!) shows, over half of my visitors today have been from Finland:

The posts about the Hadley CRU leak are what’s attracting the hits but my Finnish is non-existent and running some long posts through BabelFish isn’t very practical.

Perhaps one of you lovely Finnish people could tell me what’s grabbed your interest about this CRU leak?

What are the facts about the CRU leak at Hadley so far?

Now that it’s reached the MSM we know through a CRU spokesman that:

…information from a server used for research information in one area of the university has been made available on public websites.

“Because of the volume of this information we cannot currently confirm that all this material is genuine.

“This information has been obtained and published without our permission and we took immediate action to remove the server in question from operation. We are undertaking a thorough internal investigation and have involved the police in this inquiry.”

An interesting statement, as it infers that some of the data is genuine, but what can we actually prove regarding any kind of AGW cover up or – gasp! – conspiracy?

The short answer is, at this time, absolutely nothing.

However, one document in particular – possibly the most accessible one out of the 3000 odd that were leaked – is 100% genuine.

It’s the ‘Rules of the Game’ pdf that I’ve mentioned here before and which has already appeared in the public domain back in 2005.

It appears to be the forerunner or first stage of a document that is currently and legitimately available here.

Titled ‘New Rules: New Game’, it details strategies for changing the attitudes and behaviour of the UK population, or, as the subtitle states:

Communications tactics for climate change.

The game is changing behaviours;

the rules will help us win it.

It also states that:

These new Rules should be seen as a complementary resource to the original version and not a replacement. Please contact us for a copy of ‘The Rules of the Game’.

It’s a remarkable document and it’s not some unprovenanced leak, but something that was devised for a government initiative/organization called ‘Climate Challenge’.

Google for ‘climatechallenge.gov.uk’ and you reach here.

In fact, Google tells you that:

The site climatechallenge.gov.uk has been disabled.

What the fuck is going on?

The government commissions Futerra to produce a strategy document for ‘Climate Challenge’ but ‘Climate Challenge’ is inactive.

Is this just another abortive government ‘initiative’?

Or something planned for the future?

Who the fuck knows?

But I urge you to read both ‘Rules of the Game’ and ‘New Rules: New Game’.

I’m positive that you’ll gain some sort of insight into how far our government is prepared to go in order to modify our attitudes and behaviours through a ‘communications’ exercise which seems to have started in 2005 and certainly persists to the present day.

I’m also pretty certain that both documents will scare the living shit out of you – if you have any regard for freedom of thought and personal liberty, that is.

On a day that the CRU gets hacked and documents of as yet unproven provenance and authenticity get leaked I’ve discovered a little bit more about some of their details.

It seems that certain climate change concerns and organizations within and linked to government have employed a ‘communications agency’ called Futerra to do their propaganda PR work.

Futerra is also the apparent author of the leaked .pdf entitled “Rules of the Game” mentioned in this blog earlier today.

Now look what I’ve found.

It’s what appears to be a finished version of “Rules of the Game”.

Which leads me to suggest that if one leaked document is authentic, then just maybe the rest are.

Just a thought…
