The myth of “Winterval”

I note with interest that there’s an online petition to stop any attempts to rename ‘Christmas’ as ‘Winterval’.

Oh dear…for fucking fuck’s sake…

It’s a fucking MYTH.

A motherfucking MYTH.

Whilst it’s true that Birmingham City Council once attempted this in an attempt to increase trade in the city over 10 years ago, there is no widespread movement to reintroduce this idea.

Now, I’m against so-called ‘political correctness’ as much as anyone who wants to preserve their personal freedoms but if there’s anyone out there who’s filled with moral outrage and seething self-righteousness at the prospect of Christmas having its name changed – IT ISN’T GOING TO FUCKING HAPPEN!

SO DON’T WASTE YOUR FUCKING TIME WITH A POXY PETITION!

DON’T SIGN THE CUNT!

Go and do something better with your time like suck on the exhaust pipe of a speeding bus, or gouge your own adrenal glands out with a Stilson wrench, because if you sign that petition you’re going to waste seconds of your precious life AND prove to everyone that you’re a gullible, window-licking, knuckle-dragging, braindead motherfucker who shouldn’t be allowed to say when to draw their own breath if you can’t be bothered to find out the truth rather than let some equally braindead cunt make your mind up for you.

Jesus Fucking H Christ!

No wonder this government can do what it fucking likes with gullible cuntjobs like these around.

Merry fucking Winterval, you retarded pricks.

  1. Dunno about that, Dundee cancelled Christmas this year.

Subrosa reported it, got into the MSM too.

  2. Well said, Steve – another Daily Mail hysterical outburst along with the one about Baa Baa Rainbow Sheep.

  3. I have signed the petition with your name, that’s OK with you isn’t it Steve?

  4. “Submitted by Kim Gandy of English Democrats Party”

    I LOL’d.

Believe it or not, I didn’t know the petition was EDP-inspired (is that the right word?) until after I wrote this piece.

    I’m not entirely surprised…

You went and had a look? Well done, great spot! Atticvs moment ensued.

  7. I wouldn’t go by the cooncil website to get a feel for what’s happening in Dundee. On the ground things are different. No mention of Christmas in any of the decorations ( usually a big “Merry Christmas” above the Caird Hall ). The switch on is a bit confused but has moved from a Sunday afternoon to a Friday night. Denying kids the pleasure of watching it. The pamphlets advertising the winter light night make no mention of Christmas apart from a passing reference inside the leaflet.
It’s all part of the SNP’s policy of downplaying the Christian side of society in Scotland. They champion muslim groups ( £1.4m to the Scottish Islamic Foundation so far – although to be fair we got £200K back when they failed to put on an Islamfest and someone grassed them off )
Oh and someone forgot to tell the Lord Mayor that Christmas was cancelled which is a bit poor.

  8. [...] that’s not a story about this year nor last year nor the year before; it’s essentially a one-off from a decade ago which involved mentioning Christmas anyway). The story also claims that “Councils around Britain are removing all references to the name [...]
